Dear comrades,
We have been following with deep concern since this morning the news of the bloody massacre carried out by the forces of the counter-revolution led by the Military Council that has imposed its repressive rule on Sudan and its people.
We express to you, and to the revolutionary masses of your people, our steadfast solidarity with your glorious struggle for a new, civil and democratic Sudan that will enjoy peace, stability and social justice.
We affirm our conviction that the heroic Sudanese people are capable of protecting the revolution and its gains, ensuring its complete victory and thwarting the plans of the counter-revolution.

The headquarters of the provincial committee of the Iraqi Communist Party in the province of Basra was subjected to a cowardly attack at 2:15am on Sunday (2 June 2019), with a grenade which caused material damage to the building without casualties.
This treacherous attack came after the blatant assault last month on the offices of our party in the city of Nasiriyah and town of Souk al-Shuyukh, in the province of Nasiriyah.
These attacks constitute a serious violation of the Constitution and the law, and a violation of the offices of a legalized party that has representation in the Parliament and provincial councils, including the provinces of Basra and Nasiriyah.
These cowardly acts are not an attack on the Iraqi Communist Party alone, but also constitute contempt for all peaceful political action, and a blatant violation of constitutional life and democratic practice, attempting to replace them with chaos, usurping the right to disagree, imposing opinions and attitudes through violence instead of peaceful and democratic dialogue and argumentation. Therefore, they threaten the whole political process and civil peace, and undermine the prestige of the state and its institutions.
These attacks do not in any way constitute, as the miserable perpetrators may think and believe, a way out and a solution to the comprehensive crisis that our country is going through. They cannot cover up the notorious filed cases of corruption and hide the ugly faces of corrupt elements, but actually reflect the desperation of the perpetrators and their dilemma. They are unable to stop the march of reform and change which are urgently needed not only for salvation from the root cause of the crises, i.e. the ethno-sectarian quota system, but also for getting rid of the criminals who have looted and plundered public money and become excessively rich at the expense of the hunger, disease and poverty of millions of Iraqis, many of whom can’t make a living.
We hereby state very clearly that it is the responsibility of the state institutions, especially the security, to protect the headquarters and offices of all the parties authorized by law, including those of the Iraqi Communist Party. They have a duty to prevent such attacks from being repeated. We demand that they deal with everybody impartially and professionally and expose the perpetrators and their motives and bring them to justice to receive their just punishment.
At the same time, we look forward to a wide condemnation of this treacherous attack. All relevant bodies, especially the four leading authorities (the President, Prime Minister, Speaker of Parliament and Higher Judicial Council) must shoulder their responsibilities in order to prevent the deterioration of the situation and to ensure the rule of law, security and stability.
The Iraqi Communist Party, while condemning in the strongest terms these cowardly attacks and refusing to be drawn to their disgraceful level, reiterates its firm determination to defend, with all legal and constitutional means, its right to peaceful political action and to promote its views and positions. It is fully determined to go ahead with its reform project that the broad masses of our people are looking forward to and which the corrupt are trying to obstruct and frustrate.

Hundreds of thousands march
in the capital and major cities in Sudan
demanding the end of the dictatorial regime
7 April 2019
Hundreds of thousands marched yesterday in the capital Khartoum and other major cities and towns all over Sudan, demanding the end of the regime.
The 6th of April will be written with letters of fire and blood as it enters the annals of revolutionary history for the second time marking the triumph of our people over dictatorship.
Under the unified leadership of the opposition, the Forces for Freedom and Change, the Sudanese people are occupying the centres of cities. In Khartoum, the masses besieged the headquarters of the army until the morning of the 7th of April.
Deep cracks in the regime are apparent, with some of its allies abandoning ship and leaders of the oppressive apparatus refusing to repress the masses.
Former army officers have joined the protest action.
The Sudanese Communist Party has called for vigilance among its members and supporters preparing for the final push to topple the regime.
The Secretariat of the Central Committee of our party appeals to all fraternal parties to double their solidarity actions as the dictatorial regime is nearing its end.

22 February 2019
The security forces of the dictatorial regime in Sudan arrested 25 opposition leaders and activists yesterday, 21st February 2019, as they prepared to join a protest march to the presidential palace in Khartoum calling for the dictator Omar al-Bashir to step down. Among the detainees is Comrade Mohamed Mokhtar al-Khatib, the Secretary of the Sudanese Communist Party.
The peaceful protesters were viciously attacked by the security forces and used tear gas to disperse them. The opposition leaders and figures were arrested near Farooq Mosque, and included representatives of several political parties and the Professionals’ Association. While six of them were later released, mainly from the Umma Party, the rest of them including Comrade al-Khatib, are still in detention.
Hundreds of protesters and activists are still languishing in the prisons and detention centres of the regime under harsh and inhumane conditions. They include 15 members of the Central Committee of the Sudanese Communist Party and dozens of its cadres and members.
The mass protest movement against the dictatorial regime, which started three months ago, on 19th December 2018, has escalated in recent weeks and spread to all major cities and towns.
We call upon fraternal parties to raise their voices in strong condemnation of the bloody repression by al-Bashir’s regime and its security forces and to support the just demands of the Sudanese people and their peaceful protest movement.
Call for the immediate release of Comrade Mohamed Mokhtar al-Khatib and the detained opposition leaders and figures.
Freedom for all the political detainees in Sudan
Victory to the Sudanese people’s struggle
Long live International Solidarity!
